About the Dark Vista Series

It’s not necessary to read this series in order. Each story is stand-alone, with new main characters. My “Dark Vista” series brings together books that feature intrigue/suspense plots and darker themes, separating these out from my lighter romances, so that readers know what to expect. Although the series is not linked by ongoing plot lines, Phoebe Temple, the psychic twin we meet in Book One also has a small role in Dark Garden. Here’s a quick guide:

Author Rowe Devlin never expected the solution to writer’s block to be a beautiful psychic, her sexy twin, and a haunted house.
Fed up with writing flops and falling for straight women, she abandons life in Manhattan for an old Victorian home in Maine. Dark Harbor Cottage is supposed to provide inspiration and a fresh start, but it’s a far cry from the tranquil writing environment she was hoping for. Rowe doesn’t believe in ghosts, yet she finds herself sharing a home with one who scares her dogs and wants her out. As if that’s not distraction enough, she is living next door to irresistible identical twins, Phoebe and Cara Temple. Phoebe is psychic, Cara is a flirt, and both twins seem to be hitting on her.
When Rowe delves into the past to find out why her cottage is haunted, she uncovers a dark and disturbing mystery. Even more disquieting is the startling connection to her beautiful neighbors, one of whom has begun haunting her dreams.
“I loved how Fulton managed to create characters so deep and complex… The story flows like water. In a word – perfect. This is a really amazing read. It is so unique that it is an absolute must for anyone interested in a lesbian fiction novel that is different.” The Lesbian Review
“If I wrote lesbian romances, I would look to this author for a lesson in how to enrich the genre. She never writes the same book twice, her storytelling is original, her writing is elegant, and her intimate scenes deliver sweaty heat without sacrificing emotional context. There is more complexity to Dark Dreamer than I expected…” UnderCovers

A one-night stand too compelling to walk away from ensnares two women in a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game that begins in the courtroom and ends in a dark labyrinth of danger and desire.
Rhianna Lamb has just spent six months living under a new identity to escape Werner Brigham, the violent stalker who assaulted her. When she arrives in the courtroom to take the witness stand against him, she is stunned to find herself staring at the woman she’s having a fling with—none other than Julia Valiant, her assailant’s hotshot defense attorney. Jules is equally shocked. Brought into the trial at the eleventh hour, she had no idea the “Kate” she’s been seeing was also the plaintiff. For many reasons she has to win this case, but she also wants to win Rhianna. Her chances don’t look good after she brutally cross-examines Rhianna and demolishes the prosecution’s case. Werner Brigham is acquitted, and worse still, seems to think he can return to his old habits, this time with deadly intent.
A new game is in play, one Jules has to win. But even if she does, will Rhianna ever forgive her?
“Dark Valentine is not the longest romance of the year, but Jennifer Fulton’s disciplined writing packs more into ten pages than most romances deliver in an entire story. The scorching hot sex scene that sets up the story could have been nothing more than a cynical device, but Fulton has a gut-wrenching payoff in store for the reader. Fulton’s characteristic humor is a counterweight for themes of betrayal and abuse survival, handled with deep empathy and without extraneous words. A pleasure to read…” Dykulture
“A solid, believable, and erotic romance… Fulton’s stories usually carry subtle social messages that are largely ignored by the mainstream. She combines these nicely, respecting the reader will “get” it without being bashed over the head. Dark Valentine focuses on the issue of stalking… While tackling the social message, Fulton does not cut corners on the romance. Writing about love is what this author does best. I highly recommend Dark Valentine…” Just About Write
Two sworn enemies who can’t resist each other. Something has to give.
The Blakes and the Cavenders have been going at it since 1870 and Vienna Blake keeps up the family tradition, gunning for the Cavenders at every opportunity. Still, she’s shocked when Mason Cavender confronts her in her office and accuses her of murder. Vienna has the stunningly sexual Mason thrown out by security, but she can’t rid herself so easily of her powerful attraction to the woman she’s been groomed since childhood to destroy.
Last in a long line of “Cursed Cavenders,” as the media describes them, Mason has just walked away from the small plane crash that killed her brother. Now in charge of her family’s crumbling business empire, she suspects sabotage and believes beautiful, ruthless Vienna Blake is responsible. Fearing for her life and grieving for her brother, Mason hires a private investigator to get evidence she can take to the police.
Exposing family secrets always comes at a price. Mason is willing to pay her dues, but can she persuade Vienna to accept a truce before they both go too far?
“This is the perfect book for anyone wanting the drama, opulence and romance of Romeo and Juliette, but with lesbians and a better story. The writing is beautiful, well paced and so gorgeous I want to read it over and over again. Fulton is a master storyteller…” The Lesbian Review
“Jennifer Fulton has taken her skills with lesbian romance and wrapped them into a Gothic novel. She has a creepy mansion, complete with an overgrown walled garden, horses, family feuds, a mystery that no one will speak of, and two wonderful heroines. Fulton’s wit always shines through her writing, and Dark Garden is no exception.” Just About Write
